VIP Access Rewind: The Men of Evan Almighty Interviews (Tom Shadyac, Steve Carrell)

by Stevie Wong

So yesterday I showed you my full interviews with the ladies of Evan Almighty. Today it's time to chat with the men of the film.

First up is director Tom Shadyac (Bruce Almighty, The Nutty Professor) who I bumped into in the hallway and couldn't help but notice his hippie meets spiritual leader hair. Which is probably why I opened with the hair...

My final interview of the day was with the always amazing Steve Carrell (The 40 Year Old Virgin, Little Miss Sunshine). Bizarrely enough, his well kept coif (which his stylist was working on when I walked into the room) started off my line of questioning (do I have a hair fetish?) and well... it went from there.

He's such a gentleman and nicely honest don't you think? I can't to watch the latest season of The Office and his upcoming movie Dan In Read Life!

VIP Access Rewind: The Ladies of Evan Almighty Interviews (Wanda Sykes, Lauren Graham)

by Stevie Wong

Now that you've seen my Evan Almighty interviews on Star Movies (and the 2nd episode of VIP Access), I'm happy to bring you the full unedited collection of my conversations with the cast and director of the film.

As I've stated before talking to these people was a study in keeping my laughter down and letting them do their thing. The perfect example is with comedian Wanda Sykes. Though many of you may not be as familiar with her, the Emmy award winning stand up comedian has been the go-to actress to boost up movies with her dry hilarious commentary (check out her scene stealing turns in Monster In Law and Over The Hedge).

Of course she does the same on Evan and I couldn't wait to chat with her:

She's funny right? I absolutely love her!

Now I have to come out and tell you a bit of personal information. Besides movies, I am a BIG TV nerd! And over the past few years one of my all time favorite programs is a mother/daughter comedy called Gilmore Girls.

If you're a fan of the just ended series, you'd know that actress Lauren Graham is not only a comedic dynamo, but can also sprout out a gazillion words a minute. Surprisingly I was the most nervous when talking to her since I am a true fan of the show.

Though you can't see it, I walked up to her and totally geeked out with the comment, "the Gilmore Girls is one of my all time favorite shows, so meeting you is an honor." Dork right?
