Trailer park: 2008 Blockbuster Watch

CJ7 (dir: Stephen Chow) - After winning audiences all over the world with Shaolin Soccer, Stephen Chow returns to the big screen with a family sci-fi comedy featuring a small green um... alien? World premiering in Asia during Chinese New Year, I'm leaving my opinions to myself until I see this in a couple of weeks.

Jumper (dir: Doug Liman) - The whole thing looks so cool that I'm not sure what to expect. The good news is that I'll be heading over to do some Jumper interviews in a few weeks and I'll be able to report first hand what I think!

Kung Fu Dunk (dir: Yen-ping Chu) - Will this be the sleeper cult hit from Asia this Chinese New Year season? I have a gut feeling this might just be...

Hellboy 2: The Golden Army (dir: Guillermo del Toro) - This looks to be bigger and better than the original! Add to the fact that Guillermo seems to have brought over a few of his monsters from Pan's Labyrinth and you get one of the more visually exciting movies of the spring season!

Horton Hears A Who (dir: Jimmy Hayward & Steve Martino) - I just saw a 20 minute presentation about this film and I have to say that the animation and storyline (voiced by Jim Carrey and Steve Carrell) is alot of fun! Now I can't wait!

Wanted (dir: Timur Bekmambetov) - Loosely based on the comic book about a group of wanted supervillians who decide to form a super group to well... wreck villianous havok. The cool things behind the film are that director Bekmambetov is already a cult favorite having done the Night Watch and Day Watch films. Also the idea of James McAvoy toting guns is something to behold. Oh, and Angelina looks HOT!

The Dark Knight (dir: Christopher Nolan) - Just a new trailer from one of the most anticipated movies of the year!!!!

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (dir: Andrew Adamson) - The whole gang is back and ready for another adventure in Narnia. Looks really great!

Hancock (dir: Peter Berg) - What happens when a superhero (Will Smith) goes on a mid-life crisis? He hires a publicity maven (Charlize Theron) to help him out. See, even superheros have image problems!

Iron Man (dir: Jon Favreau) - Just the fact that Robert Downey Jr and Gwyneth Paltrow are in a potential superhero franchaise is worth taking a look at alone. This trailer needs alot of work, but it is early still. 

Speed Racer (dir: The Wachowski's) - Will this film revolutionize cinema like the Matrix trilogy? After watching the trailer, you tell me.
