Check out this Leatherheads interview between George Clooney and John Krasinski

by Stevie

Grrr... the George Clooney directed, sports themed romantic comedy Leatherheads is coming out and though I didn't get the chance to talk with George, Renee Zellweger and John Krasinski personally, I did manage to find a rather random interview that the two male leads did with each other.

But before all that, take a quick look at the trailer so you get an idea what this movie is about.

Now check out the Moviefone exclusive interview between John and George, which further proves that fun silly guys who interview each other doesn't necessarily make for a good interview. But it's George Cooney, so who cares?

First Look: Speed Racer

by Stevie Wong

The good folks over at Entertainment Weekly have just posted 9 exclusive shots of the highly anticipated Wachowski Brothers (Matrix) re-interpretation of the cult cartoon Speed Racer.

As you can see from the photos below, they are definitely pushing the boundaries of image technology once again (it's like a shiny candy store!) and the film will also be shown on IMAX screens when it opens in May. I can't wait!!!

And finally, check out the brand spanking new trailer for the film. It looks AWESOME don't you think?

VIP Access tip: Street Kings

I have just come back from LA after talking with a few cast members of the upcoming urban cop thriller Street Kings. Though the film is action packed, it's the diverse group of actors and rappers onscreen that make this gritty film interesting (Keanu and The Game in scenes together? You bet!)

You'll have to wait a bit before you get to see my full interviews with Keanu Reeves and co, but until then, check out some clips that the good folks at Fox Searchlight passed on to us:

First Look: G.I. Joe

by Stevie Wong

Here you have it, a first look at the popular G.I. Joe hero, Snake Eyes.

Now, I have to admit that I'm not at all familiar with the storylines and interactions between the G.I. Joe characters, but I do know that the 2009 action film is looking to re-introduce all the fan favorites in hopes of a successful franchise series (a la Transformers).

With a massive cast that includes Channing Tatum, Dennis Quaid, Sienna Miller, Christopher Eccleston and even Marlon Wayans, the ninja wielding Snake Eyes is played by Ray Park, who some of you might remember as Darth Maul from the Star Wars series.

But wait, that's not all, the talented Joseph Gordon Levitt recently went on the Reelzchannel to promote his upcoming film Stop Loss (which also co-stars Channing Tatum). Of course, the interviewer immediately went on to ask Joseph about his involvement with top secret G.I. Joe.

First Look: Shutter

by Stevie Wong

Fans of the Thai horror film 'Shutter' will either be very pleased or bummed that a Hollywood remake is coming out this weekend in the US. The new version, also called Shutter, is directed by J-horror director Masayuki Ochiai and brings the scares to a couple who is honeymooning in Japan.

Looking at the trailer below, it seems that the general concept is the only thing kept from the original (which might just be a good thing):

If you're not convinced, the good people over at the horror fansite Bloody Disgusting have managed to leak out two exclusive scenes from the film.

First up is Jane (played by Rachael Taylor) seeing photos where 'spirits' seem to show up in the background. Fun actor casting is seeing James Kyson Lee (aka Ando from Heroes) in the film AND he has a total American accent.

Clip #2 - Guess who pops up in this clip? NO, not the ghost, but Joshua Jackson (aka Pacey of Dawsons Creek!). Oh yes, I'm a tv nerd!

Enjoy!

First Look: The Fall

by Stevie Wong

If you've ever seen the classic thriller 'The Cell' directed by Tarsem Singh, you would have remembered the amazing visuals that his genius mind produced. Well, it looks like Tarsem is back with another movie that's not only shot in 26 different countries but is presented with the stamp of approval by Spike Jonze (Being John Malkovich) and David Fincher (Fight Club).

Curious? Check out the amazing new trailer below and keep an eye out for The Fall when it comes out to a cinema near you.

VIP Access Exclusive: Enchanted interviews

by Stevie Wong

Admit it, how many times have you seen this re-imagining of the classic fairy tale released by the very studio that helped perpetuate the whole fantasy in the first place?

Me? FOUR times! Honestly, I keep on seeing Enchanted on planes these days and I still giggle along to my favorite scenes. With the March 13th release of the DVD, I'm sure I can add more viewing opportunities to my tally!

Until then, check out the interviews that I made with the cast (McDreamy yo!), director and Oscar nominated composer (check out the little surprise at the end of the interview with Alan Menken!) a few months back. A total joy really.

Amy Adams - First up is the delectable Amy Adams. We talked about being a princess (and yes, I AM wearing a tiara for the occasion) but the best is that she kind of stalked her Broadway Tony Award winning co-star Idina Menzel on the set. Check out what she has to say about that!

Patrick Dempsey - Ok, I think I was nervous, because I talked like a mile a minute with this man. Love the story about how his daughter was enamoured with the princess and not Amy Adams.

Idina Menzel - For fans of Broadway, Idina falls under royalty, having been a part of two very influential pieces of modern music theatre, RENT and WICKED. It was a great interview and I left the whole thing an even bigger fan.

Kevin Lima - Talk about taking on a big film, check out how director Kevin Lima navigated through this tough shoot.

Alen Menken - I've saved the best for last. The composer of such classic tunes from A Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, does something special for lil ol me. It's at the end and it was an early birthday present if you ask me ;)

Indie First Look: Be Kind Rewind

Though, Be Kind Rewind has been out for a good few weeks, I recently got the chance to see this quirky film and left the cinema with a really nice warm fuzzy feeling. Since this film will fall under the 'indie' section, I figured I'd give a quick introduction so that you can keep an eye out for the movie when it's released in your neighbourhood. It'll maybe inspire you to 'swede' your own films!

Be Kind Rewind - Trailer

Jack Black and director Michel Gondry talk about how one can swede their own films.

And finally, if i ever got the chance to swede my own film, I'd attempt this one below!
