Relief Supplies

STAR and FedEx airlifted and transported over 45 tons of necessities to Sichuan in immediate aid of survivors after the earthquake. Also participating in the donation were STAR's advertisers Nissin Foods, Otsuka Pharmaceutical and Continental Supplies. Sourced by STAR's Greater China offices in Hong Kong, Taipei and Guangzhou, the relief supplies were congregated in Hong Kong and dispatched to Chengdu by FedEx. The Sichuan Provincial Civil Affairs Department received and distributed the supplies.

PSAs

STAR produced a number of Public Service Announcements (PSAs) which provided our viewers with a way to connect with non-government organisations such as the Red Cross for donations to aid the relief efforts. They also conveyed our support for the people of China as they picked up the pieces in the wake of this tragic event. These spots aired across our network of channels, reaching 53 countries in Asia.

Rebuilding

STAR is currently working with the local Education Bureau to identify a school rebuilding project.
