STAR entertains South Africa with quality programming

South Africa : Mar 2011 - Last November, Star TV Network had expanded its reach by entering the lucrative South Africa Asian TV market via Top TV - the new pay TV service. This made Star the first Indian television network to launch four channels Star Plus, Star Gold, Star Vijay and Channel V in South Arica.

The company then announced a distribution deal with Nigeria based Pay TV operator HiTV to launch STAR Gold, one of India's leading Bollywood Movie channels in Nigeria. The launch which took place on 10th Jan. 2011 marked STAR's entry into Nigeria.
