Starsports.com the official online streaming partner of IPL 2014 has unveiled its social media campaign to promote online viewing of the cricket series.
Sanjay Gupta, COO of Star India said, “That while a lot of the live video content on the website is available only for a subscription fee, the media company decided to draw users to the site by offering Season 7 of the IPL, with a five-minute delay in match streaming, completely free.”
Uday Shankar, CEO of Star India said, “With our expertise in marketing and production of sports content, our task is cut out to etch football in the sports culture of India. The nation has been awaiting its second sport for far too long.”
According to Ajit Mohan, head, new media, STAR India, for this IPL, the mobile screen will become the first screen for a large number of sports fans.
