IMG-R has signed a Joint Venture (JV), with Star India, with a ten-year broadcasting deal for The Indian Super League. The IPL-style football league heralds a new era of football in India as stars line up by the numbers to have their go.
Star India, reportedly has a one-third stake in the JV and has acquired broadcast and sponsorship rights for the league.
Star India CEO Uday Shankar also spoke about the development, emphasizing the growing popularity of football in the country. "Combining our expertise in sports production, our attempt is to bring an unparalleled football experience to our viewers," he said.
Star Plus is all set to give an extra dose of entertainment to its viewers with its special presentation, on this auspicious occasion.
