GEC Watch: Life OK clocks its best ever ratings

Life OK once again hit peak ratings in Week 12 of TAM 2014 and inched closer to the 400-mark. The channel’s last highest ratings were recorded at 375 TVM in Week 4 this year. Breaking its own record, Life OK has recorded a gross viewership of 396 TVM this week. Sony, SAB and Colors also added more eyeballs this week.

According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 12 of TAM 2014 (March 16 – March 22) for CS 4+, HSM markets, the top two Hindi general entertainment channels this week – Star Plus and Zee TV – recorded decline in their viewership. However, both channels retained their positions at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively. Colors was at No. 3 followed by Life OK at No. 4, SAB at No. 5 and Sony at No. 6.

Star Plus recorded a substantial drop in gross viewership by 78 TVM this week. The channel fetched a GVTM of 649 TVM with a relative share of 24.57% (last week 727 TVM with 27.34% relative share). Zee TV lost a further 12 TVM in gross viewership which was recorded at 489 TVM. The channel had a relative share of 18.52% (last week 501 TVM with 18.84% relative share).

Colors was stable at 468 GTVM and a relative share of 17.72% (last week 466TVM with 17.53% relative share).

Life OK added a maximum 35 TVM to its gross viewership to reach 396 TVM with a relative share of 14.99% (last week 361 TVM and 13.58%).

SAB TV grew to 326 TVM and held the No. 5 position. The channel’s relative share was at 12.34% (last week 313 TVM and 11.77% relative share).

Sony added 22 TVM this week and recorded 313 TVM and a relative share of 11.85% (last week 291TVM and 10.94% relative share).
