GEC Watch: Only Zee TV adds viewers in Week 38; strengthens grip on No. 2 slot

The viewership of Star Plus, Life OK, SAB TV, Colours witnesses drop while Sony retains its viewers.
Adding more viewership in Week 38 of TAM 2014, Zee TV has strengthened its position at No. 2. It was also the only Hindi general entertainment channel among the top 6 channels to add viewers this week. However, there was no change in the pecking order.
According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 38 of TAM 2014 (September 14 – September 20) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus led the pack followed by Zee TV at No. 2 and Colors at No. 3. Life OK, SAB TV and Sony were at No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.
Star Plus recorded a viewership of 580 GTVM and a relative share of 25.63% (last week 595 GTVM and 25.74% of relative share).
Zee TV witnessed increase in viewership this week and recorded a gross viewership of 443 GTVM with 19.58% relative share (last week 452 GTVM and 18.69% relative share).
Colors had a gross viewership of 412 GTVM with a relative share of 18.21% (last week 417 GTVM and 18.04% of relative share).
Despite a drop in its viewership, Life OK retained No. 4 position with a gross viewership of 295 GTVM and a relative share of 13.04% (last week 313 GTVM and 13.54% of relative share).
SAB TV also retained No. 5 position with a gross viewership of 269 GTVM. The channel had a relative share of 11.89% (last week 292 TVM and 12.63% of relative share).
Sony recorded a gross viewership of 264 GTVM with a relative share of 11.67% (last week 263 GTVM and 11.38% of relative share).
