GEC Watch: Star Plus gains most in Wk 4

Colors maintain last week’s GTVM, while Zee, SAB and Life OK register drop in viewership in the 4th week of TAM 2015.

According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 4 of TAM 2015 (January 11 – January 17) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus was the biggest gainer, adding 46 GTVM to grow to 659 GTVM, with a relative market share of 26.39%.
There was no change in the pecking order in Week 4. Colors maintained its second position with no change from its 485 GTVM recorded last week. Among the top six, Zee, SAB and Life OK registered a drop in their viewership compared to last week. Sony registered a marginal increase.
Tu Mera Hero (6.3 TVM) on Star grew further in the fourth week, and has become the slot leader ahead of Jodha Akbar (8 PM slot) on Zee. The Star Guild Awards registered 5.2 TVM over the three and half hour telecast.
Star Plus’ gross viewership increased to 659 GTVM with a relative share of 26.39% (last week 613 GTVM and 24.5% relative share).
Colors remained stable at 485 GTVM with a relative share of 19.42% (last week 485 GTVM and 19.38% relative share).
Zee TV recorded a gross viewership of 408 GTVM with a relative share of 16.33% (last week 417 GTVM and 16.66% relative share).
SAB TV recorded 305 GTVM with 12.21% relative share (last week 318 GTVM and 12.71% relative share).
Life OK retained its No. 5 position this week despite drop in its viewership. The channel dropped its viewership to 299 GTVM with a relative share of 11.97% (last week 316 TVM and 12.63% relative share).
Sony’s gross viewership had a marginal increase to 238 GTVM with a relative share of 9.53% (last week 235 GTVM and 9.39% relative share).
Big Magic recorded 49 GTVM and a relative share of 1.96% (last week 57 GTVM and 2.28% relative share).
Sony Pal maintained its position over Zindagi this week. The channel recorded a gross viewership of 26 GTVM with a relative share of 1.04% (last week 29 GTVM and 1.16% relative share).
Zindagi recorded viewership at 21 GTVM with a relative share of 0.84% (last week 29 GTVM and 1.16% relative share).
Epic recorded a gross viewership of 7 GTVM against last week’s 8.3 GTVM.
