GEC Watch: Zee TV’s ‘Main Tera Hero’ premiere beats ‘Dhoom 3’ on Sony

Television premiere of ‘Mein Tera Hero’ fetches 8.7 TVM. ‘India’s Best Cine Star Ki Khoj’ on Zee TV opens at 3.5 TVM in Week 27.

Week 27 of TAM 2014 threw up a surprising viewership data in that the world television premiere of ‘Main Tera Hero’ on Zee TV scored more than the television premiere of highest ever box office grosser in India, ‘Dhoom 3’, on Sony. While ‘Main Tera Hero’ fetched a viewership of 8.7 TVM, ‘Dhoom 3’ recorded 8.2 TVM.

The new weekend show, ‘India’s Best Cine Star Ki Khoj’ on Zee TV opened at an average viewership of 3.5 TVM in Week 27.

Star Parivaar Awards on Star Plus clocked 7.7 TVM.

According to TVT data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 27 of TAM 2014 (June 29 – July 5) CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus continued to hold seven slots among the top 10 weekday shows. Zee TV reduced to two slots while SAB TV’s Tarak Mehta continued to be in top 10.

Among regular weekend programming, Colors retained its leadership with ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ at the top slot followed by CID on Sony at No. 2.

Weekday toppers (all data in TVM, 000000’s)

Star Plus’Saathiyaremained the weekday chart topper with an average viewership of 9.4 TVM (last week 9.7).

Diya Aur Baati Hum on Star Plus retained its average viewership at 9.2 TVM (last week 9.2 TVM).

Jodha Akbaron Zee TV was at No. 3 with an average viewership of 8 TVM (last week 7.3 TVM).

Star Plus’Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Haijumped two positions to No. 4 this week and recorded an average viewership of 7.4 TVM (last week 6 TVM).

SAB’s Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma slipped one position to No. 5 with an average viewership of 7 TVM (last week 6.9 TVM).

Star Plus’ epic series,Mahabharat,also slipped one position to No. 6. The show fetched an average viewership of 6.4 TVM this week (last week 6.7 TVM).

Kumkum Bhagyaon Zee TV grew further and claimed No. 7 position with an average viewership of 6.3 TVM this week (last week 5.4 TVM).

Yeh Hai Mohabbateinon Star Plus slipped one position to No. 8. The show recorded an average viewership of 5.8 TVM (last week 6 TVM).

Veeraon Star Plus held its No. 9 position with an improved average viewership of 5.4 TVM (last week 5.1 TVM).

Pyaar Ka Dard Haion Star Plus was at No. 10 position with an average viewership of 5.3 TVM (last week 4.8).

Weekend toppers

Comedy Night with Kapilon Colors retained the top slot among regular weekend programming. The show fetched an average viewership of 5.8 TVM (last week 5.9).

Sony’s crime series,CID, fetched 4.1 TVM against last week’s 3.7 TVM.

India’s Best Cine Star Ki Khojon Zee TV opened at an average viewership of 3.5 TVM.

Colors’ celebrity dance reality showJhalak Dikhhla Jaadropped to 3.3 TVM in its fourth week (last week 3.7).

Sony’sEntertainment Ke Liye Kuchh Bhi Karegafetched an average viewership of 2 TVM (last week 2.2).

Life OK’sShapathslipped to 1.9 TVM (last week 1.9).

Sony’s second crime show,Crime Patrol,garnered 1.7 TVM (last week 1.9).

HatimonLife OK recorded 1.5 TVM (last week 2.1).

Mission Sapnerecorded 1.4 TVM this week (last week 1.4 TVM).

Fear Fileson Zee TV fetched 1.3 TVM this week (last week 1.2).
