Life OK’s ‘Dream Girl’ focusses on small town dreams to make it big in tinseltown

Set in Jodhpur, Life OK’s upcoming show ‘Dream Girl – Ek Ladki Deewani Si’ has it all – dreams, drama and glamour. The story is about Lakshmi and her struggles to become an actress. The show will premiere on March 9, 2015 and will air every Monday to Friday at 9.30 pm.
Commenting on the show, a Life OK spokesperson said, “Set in a time where today generation does not mind taking short cuts to achieve their dreams and equates happiness to fame, the story portrays Lakshmi’s chase for her dreams that comes at a cost and teaches her biggest lessons that only make her stronger and resilient.”
Shashi and Sumeet Mittal, the show’s producers, added here, “This is our third endeavour with Life OK and we are extremely delighted about the association. ‘Dream Girl’ is a story about dreams and aspirations that every girl like Lakshmi beholds and has a head full of Bollywood dreams. Lakshmi’s unflagging optimism brings the feel-good factor to the show and we are hopeful that young girls across the country will be able to relate to her character.”
Shot in various locales of Jodhpur, the viewers will get to be a part of Lakshmi’s fascinating journey as she makes her way to Mumbai to achieve her dreams. Nikita Dutta will be essaying the role of the lead protagonist, Lakshmi. This is role marks Dutta’s television debut.
