Sonali Bendre makes Fiction Debut on Life OK

The show, titled 'Ajeeb Daastaan Hain Ye' is from Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms. Premiering on October 7, it will air Monday to Friday at 9.30 pm.

Life OK and Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms have teamed up for a fiction show christened 'Ajeeb Daastaan Hain Ye'. The show highlights the journey of a tenacious woman Shobha (played by Sonali Bendre) who fights against all odds for her family and their well-being. 

The show marks Sonali Bendre's fiction debut on television. The actress, in the past, has judged shows like 'Indian Idol' (Sony Entertainment Television), 'India's Got Talent' (Colors) and 'India's Best Dramebaaz' (Zee TV). The show will premiere on October 7 at 9.30 pm.

Recently, Life OK also got actor Bhagyashree to play a fictional character on a show. Ajit Thakur, EVP and GM, Life OK says, "We have offered bold and innovative content to our viewers. With the launch of Ajeeb Daastaan Hain Ye, we intend to raise the bar even higher. We are confident the viewers will enjoy the show as much as we enjoyed making it."

The plot
The story is about Shobha, who was happy and content in her own little world until she was left devastated after her politician husband Samarth (Harsh Chhaya) was put behind the bars for breach of information. While trying to put her life together and settle down, Shobha ends up meeting Vikram (Apurva Agnihotri), a coffee shop owner who hires her as his assistant. Apart from dealing with difficulties of life at home, she also has troubles at work.
Ajeeb Daastaan Hain Ye also touches upon the issue of infidelity. It highlights the tryst of a woman who is estranged from her husband and is made to break out of her inhibitions in the quest of finding happiness for her loved ones.
