Star Parivaar Awards gets Grandeur and Glamorous this year

June 23, 2014:StarParivaarAwards, one of the most awaited annual awards from Star Plus, saw the coming together of India’s most loved characters and their families for a grand celebration last night. StarParivaar this season was all about the next level of entertainment and excitement taking the channel's philosophy of “Rishta Wohi Soch Nayi” forward. The show treaded on the unconventional path and redefined entertainment as artists undertook the mantle of training under specialized experts to present never seen before acts to the viewers! The Parivaar members pledged to go the extra mile and perform dare devil skill based stunts themselves to reciprocate the love of their fans.

The night saw a bevy of stars walk the Cool carpet of StarParivaar all dressed up in beautiful finery and shine! Sooraj (Anas Rashid) and Sandhya (Deepika Singh) from Diya Aur Baati Hum, Aaditya (Nakuul Mehta) and Pankhuri (Disha Parmar) from Pyaar Ka Dard Hain, Gopi (Devoleena Bhattacharjee), Ahem (Mohammad Nazim), Rashi (Rucha Hasabnis) and Jigar (Vishal Singh) from Saath Nibhana Saathiya, Nach Baliye 6 winners Asha and Rithivik, Ranvijay (Shivin Naranga), Veera (Digangana Suryavanshi), Baldev (Vishal Vashishtha), Gunjan Ranvijay Singh (Farnaz Shetty) with Ratan (Sneha Wagh) from Veera, Shaurya Goenka (Vatsal Sheth), Durga (Sanjeeda), from Ek Hasina Thi, Raman (Karan Patel), Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi) from Yeh Hai Mohabbatein were some of the popular faces who were seen walking down the Cool carpet and indulging in fun activities with their Parivaar. Adding to the glamour of the evening was Satyamev Jayate Host - Actor Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao gracing the ceremony. Also Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra graced the event with her charming personality.

The grand affair was designed to mesmerize audiences with some captivating performances like the deadly bike stunt performed by Sandhya to the breathe taking Aerial act by Raman and Ishita and the Skating act by Veera and Ranvijay. The Parivaar members left no stone unturned to ensure that their audiences were blown by their effort! The grandeur was showcased not only in the performances but also the enormous set up and the Carnival theme of StarParivaar this season.  The Parivaar members were seen grooving to the tunes of an all new and hip anthem - Do the Namaste composed and penned by Arco Pravo Mukherjee.

Star Plus - Marketing and content strategy Head, Nikhil Madhok said, “Comedy was on our mind since a long time. But we didn’t want to come up with anything just for the sake of it. We waited to come up with something that we believe in." Madhok who also wanted to make Sundays entertaining for the viewers, added, “The show was conceptualised after we decided to extend our weekend programming till Saturday. While our fiction shows are more women-oriented, we wanted to make Sundays family oriented.
