Star Plus’ Mahabharat Bags Best Drama Series At Star Guild Awards 2014!

Mahabharata the epic series has once again had a kick start on Television and this time on a bigger value. Star Plus started the Mahabharata series and it went up so well that it got the award for the Best Drama Series on Star Guild Awards 2014.

The new Mahabharata was applauded and appraised for its uniqueness and unbelievable use of technology. It has been produced by Swastik Pictures and features actors such as Saurabh Raj Jain as Lord Krishna, Shaheer Sheikh as Arjuna, Pooja Sharma as Draupadi, Aham Sharma as Karna and Arav Chowdhary as Bhishma Pitamah.

Salim Khan father of Salman Khan was taken help from by the creative directors of the series, music director for the series is Ismail Darbar and Ajay-Atul.

Mahabharat presents the story of Hastinapura, the kingdom ruled by the Kuru clan. The Kaurava and the Pandava branches compete for rulership. Although the Kaurava is the senior branch of the family, Duryodhana, the eldest Kaurava, is younger than Yudhisthira, the eldest Pandava. Both Duryodhana and Yudhisthira claim to be first in line to inherit the throne.

The Mahabharat is considered as one of the greatest epics in the world and even before the new show the old Mahabharat TV series was popular among the audiences.
