Star Plus, Sony soar high; Colors & Zee TV too register growth

The two episodes of Sushil Kumar winning the Rs 5 crore jackpot on Kaun Banega Crorepati on Tuesday and Wednesday have become the highest TRP grosser among all weekday shows since Uttaran in 2009.

KBC recorded 7.2 and 8 TVR on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively, to help Sony break its own records by touching 287 GRPs. KBC also remained the top show of Week 45 on TAM people meters. Star Plus also soared high to 335 GRPs to maintain its leadership.

The top 5 programmes for Week 45 (October 30 – November 5) are KBC (6.4 TVR), Saathiya (6.2 TVR), Balika Badhu (4.7 TVR), Crime Patrol (4.1 TVR) and Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon (4.0 TVR).

By adding 62 GRPs, Star Pluscontinued to be the No. 1 Hindi entertainment channel in Week 45 of TAM 2011. The channel has recorded 335 GRPs (last week 273).

With KBC, Sony Entertainment Televisiontoo has created a new record and registered 287 GRPs this week(last week 235.9).

At No. 4,Zee TVhas recorded 143 GRPs this week (last week 131).

SAB TVhas recorded 121 GRPs in Week 45 (last week 118).

At No. 6,Imagine TVhas lost a few points to record 70 GRPs this week (last week 61).

Star Onehas registered 43 GRPs (last week 40).Sahara Onehas 34 GRPs in Week 45 (last week 330).
