Star Plus unveils new show through Cousins Day social media app

24 July 2014

Leading Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) Star Plus has initiated a special move to unveil its new fiction show ‘Nisha Aur Uske Cousins’.

Celebrating the World Cousins Day on 24 July, the channel aims to get its viewers closer to their cousins. Taking forward its tagline of ‘Rishta Vahi, Soch Nayi’, the channel is launching a special social media application to celebrate the day.

Star Plus SVP marketing and programming strategy Nikhil Madhok said, “Star Plus is taking the opportunity to celebrate this significant day by developing a social media app which will let people create a personalised video capturing all the special memories and ‘cousin moments’ and share it with the world.”

The app on the channel’s official website will enable viewers to select their favourite pictures with their cousins and turn them into a personalised video with fun quotes and messages. Viewers can create their own personalised cousin’s film and share it with them.

Star Plus aims to make the day a special affair in the build-up to its soon-to-be-launched fiction series. The first look of the show was unveiled on Star Plus’ YouTube channel today. Set in Jaipur, the story will explore the bonding between Nisha and her cousins.
