“This is about the talent from the grassroot level from Maharashtra. These are people who have never been on stage before. They are talented and this will not just give them exposure but also glamour,” said Jayesh D Patil, Programming Head, Star Pravah.

The dance reality show will feature children in the age group of 6 to 14 years chosen from across Maharashtra. The children have been selected through auditions in Pune, Nashik, Kolhapur, Aurangabad and Mumbai. While there would be different winners for solo, duet and group dancers, they would all experiment with different styles of dancing, including international styles like Salsa.

Judging the show would be renowned choreographer Savio Barnes, Vishwas Natekar and actor Amruta Khanwilkar. It would be hosted by Chinmay Udgirkar.

Khanwilkar said, “While we cannot deny that the show is about dance and talent would be foremost, but equal importance will also be given to presentation and performance.”

Savio, known for his choregraphy in dance reality shows in the mainstream Hindi medium in the past, said, “I am excited to judge the show. It gives me an opportunity to use my experience and knowledge which I have garnered in the past few years. As a judge I will encourage the kids with aspirations.”

The channel plans to use hoardings and their television network for promoting the show. It is also planning new innovative marketing techniques which have not been used on regional television so far.

So far, around 20 weeks have been planned but it may be increased if this becomes popular with the viewers.
