They have aspirations, dreams, determination and ambition to do well. Audiences relate to middle class sensibilities. Middle class folks represent the essence of hardships and aspirations which have huge connect. Soaps are a slice of real life and people love to see what they can identify with."Interestingly, to make hearts grow fonder and thereby score high on TRPs, economic hardships are now part of the bigger story-line.Ajit Thakur, general manager of a GEC says, "Middle class people comprise majority of the audiences. Even as they struggle in real life, they score high on honesty and ethics. We waited to come up with something that we believe in."
