• Key Responsibilities • Designing an EFFECTIVE PROGRAMMING SLATE Work with the VP/ Creative Director – India productions to develop a slate of local / original commissions for NG Tamil , with an eye on ratings, revenue and brand • Produce Quality Content work with independent producers to execute and supervise the programming to the highest possible production standards. • Supervise each production from editorial perspective working with Producers on the highest possible quality – from script and showflows to master delivery. • Commercials and Contracts Work alongside commercial and legal teams to provide creative assumptions and requirements for all legal contracts, commercial negotiations and other paperwork associated with the commissioning process • Timelines and operations Manage operations and timelines across multiple projects, ensuring delivery of materials for dubbing teams, maintain the strict standards of technical checks and requirements for the masters so that the best output makes it on air, well within predetermined costs and timelines • · Building Relationships Develop onscreen talent and new producers to ensure NG Tamil receives the best pipeline of people and ideas. · Build and manage key relationships with external suppliers, Production Companies as well as internal teams, eg marketing / creative services / brand solutions functions and facilitate smooth flow of information • Revenue Focus Manage briefs from the Brand teams and provide creative solutions for advertisers (Fresh concepts as well as integration in local productions) · Competition and Trends follow and stay aware of TV programming across competition and the larger TV landscape. A knowledge of current trends across the gamut infotainment, youth and digital space is a must · Mentoring Mentoring, guiding the junior resource and using their skills effectively · New initiatives - Be a proactive member of the Channel Management Team, contributing to growth ideas across the business.
