CONTEXT
Responsible for making creative interventions in shows by asking for, identifying, and fleshing out sharp storytelling opportunities which will engage consumers, increase ratings and time spent on shows.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze on-air and in-development shows and combine data, consumer speak and creative to sharply identify and articulate the problem statement
- To work pre-launch under Development along with Editors (who are dealing w Producer/ Writer/ Director) on pitch, story, script, and insights of shows
- To work with closely with Editorial and creative teams character development/ journey and reviewing conflict/ inflexion points
- To be deeply involved in episodic story feedback for ~8-12 weeks pre-launch
- To be continuously involved in the show post launch and intervene as and when required
- To research templates around story character and inflexion points as needed
- To project manage show launch timelines and red-flag interventions, as needed
PERFORMANCE MEASURES
- Show launch TVR & TSV for the first 6-8 weeks
- Performance on shows that they work on – TVR, TSV of shows
- Number of break-through characters created
- Adherence to development & launch milestones
QUALIFICATION
- Graduate/ P.G. in any stream. Preferably Mass Media
- Consulting/Marketing background preferred – a read of data/strategy or consumer
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication: can articulate, take others along in their vision
- Avid content consumer across platforms- books, OTT, TV, Films
- Ability to multitask
- Expertise and experience in content creation and/or writing; Social and political awareness – understands India deeply, soulfully; Creative imagination: ability to bring a concept alive in script/ telling
