Star Vijay TV hosted an award ceremony to exclusively honour its television stars for the first time in its 18 years.

Star Vijay General Manager K Sriram said, “We planned the event nearly two years ago but at that stage, we didn’t have so many fiction hits and categories. Now was the right time. The scale will go a notch higher in the second edition of the awards."

Nikhil Madhok, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Programming Strategy, Star Plus said, “Mahabharat has a massive fan-following across all age groups, especially the youth. Draupadi has emerged as one of the most loved and followed characters. Since the series is at the commencement of the great Kurukshetra war, we believed it would be a good refresher to take the viewers through Draupadi’s journey and how she was a catalyst for the war.
