GEC Watch: Colors beats Zee TV in weekday primetime

Star Plus leads weekday programming with five shows in top 10 followed by Zee TV with 3 and Colors with 2 shows in Week 45.

Colors beat Zee TV in weekday primetime in Week 45 of TAM 2014 as it held the No. 2 position for seven weeks in a row. According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 45 of TAM 2014 (November 2 – November 8) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus dominated weekday programming with 5 shows in top 10 list. Zee TV had three shows followed by Colors with two shows. SAB TV’s Tarak Mehta could not find a place in weekday top 10 shows this week.
‘Bigg Boss Season 8’ on Colors garnered an average viewership of 5.1 TVM against last week’s average of 4.4 TVM.
‘Comedy Night with Kapil’ continued to rule the weekend programming with an average viewership of 6.4 TVM.

Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum crossed the 11 TVM mark this week and recorded an average viewership of 11.6 TVM this week (last week 10.8 TVM).
Ye Hai Mohabbatein on Star Plus jumped one position to No. 2. The show recorded 8.9 TVM this week (last week 8.9 TVM).
Sathiya Saath Nibhana on Star Plus slipped one position to No. 3 with an average viewership of 8.8 TVM (last week 9.3 TVM).
Zee TV’s Jodha Akbar held No. 4 position despite drop in its viewership. The show recorded an average viewership of 7.7 TVM (last week 8.2 TVM).
Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai held No. 5 position with an average viewership of 7.3 TVM (last week 7.4 TVM).
Colors’ Sasural Simar Ka jumped two positions to No. 6 with an average viewership of 7.1 TVM (last week 6.4 TVM).
Jamai Raja on Zee TV was at No. 7 with an average viewership of 6.5 TVM (last week 6.7 TVM).
Kumkum Bhagya on Zee TV slipped two positions to No. 8 with an average viewership of 6.4 TVM (last week 7.1 TVM).
Udaan on Colors entered the top-10 club this week. The show recorded an average viewership of 6.4 TVM (last week 6 TVM).
Ek Hasina Thi on Star Plus was at No. 10 position with an average viewership of 6.1 TVM against last week’s 6.1 TVM.
Weekend toppers
Comedy Nights with Kapil on Colors retained the top position among weekend shows. The show fetched an average viewership of 6.4 TVM (last week 5.9 TVM).
Zee TV’s Neeli Chhatri Wale recorded a viewership of 3.4 TVM (last week 3 TVM).
Sony’s crime series, CID, fetched 3.4 TVM against last week’s 3.2 TVM.
Maharakshak Aryan on Zee TV dropped to 3 TVM in its second week after opening at 3.2 TVM last week.
Dil Se Naache Indiwaale on Zee TV fetched 2.7 TVM from last week’s 2.4 TVM.
India’s Raw Star on Star Plus also fetched 2.3 TVM this week (last week 2.4 TVM).
Satyamev Jayate on Star Plus rated 2.2 TVM (last week 2.4 TVM).
Comedy Classes on Life OK fetched 2.1 TVM (last week 1.8).
Sony’s other crime series, Crime Patrol, grew to 2 TVM (last week 1.5 TVM).
Star Plus’ Airlines fetched 1.8 TVM (last week 1.9 TVM).
