GEC Watch: DID Super Moms clocks best opening in last 2 years

Sony and Zee TV gain maximum viewership in Week 13 of TAM 2015. SAB TV and &TV also add more eyeballs.

Week 13 of TAM 2015 brought cheer for Zee TV as the channel’s latest fiction show, ‘DID Super Moms’, recorded the best ever opening for a non-fiction show in the last two years. The weekend show helped the channel cross the 400-TVM mark this week.
The week also witnessed Zee TV’s shows at the top in both weekend and weekday programming. The channel’s weekday show, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, retained the top slot with 9.5 TVM.
According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 13 of TAM 2015 (March 22 – March 28) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Sony was the biggest gainer of the week. Star Plus retained its leadership position followed by Colors at No. 2. Zee TV strengthened its position at No. 3 while the No. 4 channel, Life OK, witnessed decline in its viewership. SAB TV, Sony and &TV were at No. 5, 6 and 7 respectively.
Star Plus recorded a gross viewership of 598 GTVM (last week 624 GTVM).
Colors held the No. 2 position with a gross viewership of 452 GTVM (last week 457 GTVM).
Zee TV crossed 400-mn mark and recorded a gross viewership of 412 GTVM this week (last week 394 GTVM).
Life OK recorded a gross viewership of 289 GTVM (last week 302 GTVM).
SAB TV grew to 282 GTVM this week (last week 275 GTVM)
Sony witnessed maximum gain in its viewership this week and recorded a gross viewership of 222 GTVM (last week 201 GTVM).
&TV witnessed a marginal gain to cross 100-mn mark. The channel recorded 101 GTVM this week (last week 99 GTVM)

Is the Media in trouble? Mumbai Press Club holds discussion on subject
