GEC Watch: Sony climbs to No. 4

After a stellar run in the two previous weeks, Star Plus remained at the top but could not sustain its 700-million-plus GVTM viewership, falling to 688 GVTM in Week 8 of TAM 2014. Colors retained its No. 2 position and stayed above the 500-million viewership mark. However, Sony jumped impressively to No. 4 position this week, up from its No. 6, its viewership increasing by 64 TVT to 339 TVT. Life OK slipped two positions to No. 6

According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 8 of TAM 2014 (February 16 – February 22) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Zee TV stayed put at No. 3 position.

Star Plus recorded a viewership of 688 million GTVM against last week’s 702 million TVT.

Colors, whichretained its No. 2 position, again crossed the 500-million GTVM mark. It had a gross viewership of 502 million TVT compared with last week’s 504 million TVT.

Zee TV remained atNo. 3 position with 454 GTVM against last week’s 457 million.

Sony added 64 million to its gross viewership this week, recording GTVM of 339 million, compared to 275 million last week.

SAB TV added 29 million to its viewership to come in at No. 5 with 326million TVT. Last week it had recorded 297 million TVT.

Life OK slipped to No. 6 position with a 10-million drop in its viewership. It recorded a GTVT of 318 million against last week’s 328 million.
