GEC Watch: Star Plus’ dominance grows to five shows in weekday top 10

Zee TV and Colors have two shows each followed by SAB TV with one show in weekday top-10 in Week 2 of TAM 2015.

Star Plus strengthened its weekday leadership by claiming 5 of top 10 slots in the second week of TAM 2015. According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 2 of TAM 2015 (January 4 – January 10) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Zee TV and Colors had two shows each and SAB TV had one show in the top 10 club this week.
‘Bigg Boss’ on Colors has witnessed a jump in its viewership as it turned into ‘Bigg Boss Halla Bol’ on January 4. The show fetched an average viewership of 6.4 TVM for the week (last week 6.1).
‘Comedy Night with Kapil’ on Colors remained the distant leader among weekend shows followed by Zee TV’s ‘Neeli Chhatri Wale’ and ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs’.
The new weekend crime series on Sony, ‘Bhanwar’, opened at 2.2 TVM.

Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum stayed at the top of the weekday chart with an average viewership of 10.2 TVM this week (last week 10.6 TVM).
Kumkum Bhagya on Zee TV rose one position to No. 2 with an average viewership of 9.3 TVM (last week 8.5 TVM).
Sathiya Saath Nibhana on Star Plus also jumped two positions to No. 3 this week. The show recorded an average viewership of 9.2 TVM (last week 7.9 TVM).
Tarak Mehta on SAB TV was unmoved at No. 4 position with an average viewership of 8.9 TVM (last week 8 TVM).
Ye Hai Mohabbatein on Star Plus slipped three positions this week to No. 5. The show fetched an average viewership of 8.8 TVM this week (last week 9.1 TVM).
Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai held No. 6 position this week with an average viewership of 7.9 TVM (last week 7.7 TVM).
Sasural Simar Ka on Colors was also unmoved at No. 7 with an average viewership of 7.4 TVM (last week 7.3 TVM).
Zee TV’s Jamai Raja jumped one position to No. 8 with an average viewership of 7.2 TVM (last week 6.6 TVM).
Udaan on Colors slipped one position to No. 9 with an average viewership of 7.2 TVM against last week’s 6.9 TVM.
Suhani Si Ek Ladki on Star Plus was the fifth show from the channel in top 10 this week. The show fetched an average viewership of 6.7 TVM (last week 6.1 TVM).
Weekend toppers
Comedy Nights with Kapil on Colors witnessed jump in its viewership. The show fetched an average viewership of 7.6 TVM (last week 6.3 TVM).
Zee TV’s Neeli Chhatri Wale was the second most watched show during the weekend with 4.3 TVM this week (last week 3.8 TVM).
Zee TV’s flagship singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champsfetched 4.2 TVM in its third week (last week 4.3 TVM).
Sony’s crime series, CID, dropped to 3.8 TVM against last week’s 4.5 TVM.
Sony’s other crime series, Crime Patrol, also witnessed decline in its viewership and recorded 2.3 TVM (last week 2.8 TVM).
Bhanwar on Sony opened at 2.2 TVM this week.
Maharakshak Aryan on Zee TV fetched 1.6 TVM this week (last week 1.6 TVM).
