GEC Watch: Star Plus gains maximum viewership; Sony drops below 200-mn mark

There is no change in pecking order in Week 46 of TAM 2014.

Star Plus added maximum viewership and strengthened its leadership with a huge margin in Week 46 of TAM 2014. On the other hand, Sony lost maximum eyeballs and dropped below 200-mn mark.
Zee TV, Life OK, SAB TV and Sony PAL were the other gainers of the week. However, there was no change in pecking order.
According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 46 of TAM 2014 (November 9 – November 15) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus increased the lead margin from Colors. Zee TV held No. 3 position despite adding more viewership this week. Life OK retained No. 4 position followed by SAB TV at No. 5 and Sony TV at No. 6.
Star Plus recorded a gross viewership of 658 GTVM with a relative share of 26.52% (last week 610 GTVM and 24.84% of relative share).
Colors witnessed a marginal loss in Week 46 and recorded a gross viewership of 483 GTVM with a relative share of 19.47% (last week 486 GTVM and 19.79% of relative share).
At No. 3, Zee TV grew to 419 GTVM with 16.89% relative share (last week 394 GTVM and 16.04% relative share).
Life OK added a few eyeballs and recorded a gross viewership of 313 TVM. Its relative share among 9 Hindi GECs was 12.62% (last week 305 GTVM and 12.42% relative share).
SAB TV was at No. 5 despite adding more viewership this week. Its gross viewership was recorded at 296 GTVM with 11.93% relative share (last week 285 GTVM and 11.60% of relative share).
Sony lost a huge chunk of its viewership this week again and dropped below 200-mn mark. The channel’s gross viewership was recorded at 190 GTVM with a relative share of 7.66% (last week 245 GTVM and 9.98% of relative share).
Big Magic witnessed a decline in viewership this week and fetched a gross viewership of 61 TVM with a relative share of 2.46% (last week 69 GTVM and relative share 2.81%)
Sony Pal recorded a gross viewership of 32 GTVM with a relative share of 1.29% (last week 31 GTVM and 1.26% relative share).
Zindagi dropped to 29 GTVM with a relative share of 1.17% (last week 31 GTVM and 1.26% relative share).
