GEC Watch: Star Plus widens lead margin by over 200 TVMs

Besides Star Plus, SAB TV, Sony, Zindagi and Epic also added more eyeballs in Week 50 of TAM 2014.

Week 50 of TAM 2014 witnessed Star Plus, SAB TV, Sony, Zindagi and Epic adding eyeballs while Colors, Zee TV, Life OK, Big Magic and Sony Pal lost viewership. However, there was no change in the pecking order.
Epic continues to add viewership week after week with the channel recording a gross viewership of 5.68 TVM in its third week. The channel had recorded 3.69 GTVM last week.
According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 50 of TAM 2014 (December 7 – December 13) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus increased its lead margin over the nearest competitor Colors by more than 200 TVM. Zee TV, Life OK, SAB TV and Sony were at No. 3, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.
Star Plus recorded gross viewership of 661 GTVM with a relative share of 27.04% (last week 642 GTVM).
Colors recorded gross viewership of 450 GTVM with a relative share of 18.41% (last week 476 GTVM).
At No. 3, Zee TV recorded gross viewership of 398 GTVM with 16.28% relative share (last week 419 GTVM).
Life OK dropped further to 289 GTVM this week. The channel had a relative share of 11.82% (last week 296 TVM).
SAB TV also witnessed growth in its viewership andrecorded gross viewership of 288 GTVM with 11.78% relative share (last week 281 GTVM).
Sony recorded viewership of 229 GTVM with a relative share of 9.37% (last week 226 GTVM).
Big Magic recorded viewership of 60 GTVM with a relative share of 2.45% (last week 61 GTVM)
Zindagi recorded viewership at 33 GTVM with a relative share of 1.35% (last week 31 GTVM).
Sony Pal recorded viewership of 31 GTVM with a relative share of 1.27% (last week 33 GTVM).
