GEC Watch: Zee TV returns to No. 2

Only Life OK, Sony and Epic add more viewers in Week 7 of TAM 2015.

Week 7 of TAM 2015 saw most of the Hindi general entertainment channels except Life OK, Sony and Epic losing viewership. Zee TV once again came back to No. 2 position pushing Colors to No. 3.
According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 7 of TAM 2015 (February 8 – February 14) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus remained at the top. Life OK strengthened its position at No. 4 by increasing the lead margin over SAB TV. Sony remained at No. 6.
Star Plus’ gross viewership dropped to 623 GTVM with a relative share of 25.22% (last week 645 GTVM).
Even as Zee TV witnessed a marginal decline in its viewership, the channel jumped to No. 2 position this week. The channel recorded 448 GTVM with a relative share of 18.14% (last week 451 GTVM).
A sharp decline in Colors’ gross viewership pushed the channel at No. 3 position. It had recorded 434 GTVM with a relative share of 17.57% (last week 454GTVM).
Life OK gained maximum viewership this week among all Hindi GECs. The channel recorded a gross viewership of 330 GTVM and a relative share of 13.36% (last week 310 TVM).
SAB TV recorded 285 GTVM with 11.54% relative share (last week 294 GTVM).
Sony also added more eyeballs this week and its gross viewership grew to 253 GTVM and its relative share jumped to 10.24% (last week 236 GTVM).
Big Magic dropped to 46 GTVM with a relative share of 1.86% (last week 53 GTVM).
Sony Pal recorded a gross viewership of 25 GTVM with a relative share of 1.01% (last week 26 GTVM).
Zindagi too witnessed a marginal decline and recorded a gross viewership of 17 GTVM and a relative share of 0.69% (last week 18 GTVM).
Epic recorded a gross viewership of 8.9 GTVM against last week’s 7.7 GTVM.
