Movies OK welcomes the New Year with a laughter dose of 'Karz Chukana Hai'

31 December 2014

Movies OK, the ultimate movie destination for family entertainment, presents yet another occasion for families to bond over the magic of comedy. Movies OK presents Karz Chukana Hai – a two-day marathon of non-stop comedy on 31st December and 1st January which will enable viewers to win gifts for people they have been indebted to. Movie Fest promotion is based on the insight of starting the New Year on a fresh slate and letting bygones be bygones.

As part of the marketing campaign for Karz Chukana Hai, Movies OK executed an engaging session at Group M in Mumbai and Delhi as well as Madison in Delhi. Members of both offices were handed chocolate cupcakes along with a quirky note with a twist. The cupcake was not meant for themselves, but for the one teammate they wished to thank as a sign of gratitude. This short, interactive activity was a success amongst the members of the offices as they shared quirky, interesting and innovative reasons to share gratitude.
The festival will showcase memorable comedy films Golmaal 3, Bol Bachchan, Thank You, Hera Pheri, Jodi NO. 1, etc featuring superstars like Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Govinda and comedy stars like Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav and Johnny lever. Viewers will be asked questions on the aired movies every hour and one lucky winner every hour will stand a chance to win shopping vouchers worth Rs. 5000/-.
This holiday season, sit back and share a hassle-free New Year with your loved ones! Watch the best of Bollywood comedies and win grand prizes without stepping out of your homes, only with Movies OK.

Hindi GECs: A battle for eyeballs

Star Plus general manager Gaurav Banerjee says: “The story is urban and contemporary. This love story begins after a marriage gets over. It explores the theme of a second chance in love. With well-etched characters and a strong urban narrative, the show deals with day-to-day issues faced by modern couples. We are positive that our metro audiences will see a connect with Ishita and Raman, and follow their story.”

Indian mythology serials still a hit on TV

Star India and Zee TV say the focus on making the stories relevant to today's generation has led to the success. "Vyasa wrote the Mahabharat after the Vedas, to convey the same message as the Vedas but through a story," says Star India's programming head Danish Khan.
