Press Release

New Channel V from November 25

8 November 2013

Channel V, the youth entertainment channel from the STAR Network, is preparing to launch four new shows - Sadda Haq, Confessions of an Indian Teenager, Paanch- Don't Get Mad, Get Even and It's Complicated - soon.

The channel, that had dropped all its music content in July 2012, is gearing up to give a visual surprise to its audiences. In addition to the launch of new shows, the channel is also expected to change its logo and packaging from November 25.

Though the official announcements have not been made and the executives of the channel remain tight-lipped about the development, Channel V's official Facebook and Twitter pages are promoting the new look and shows.

As per the FB page of the channel, 'Sadda Haq' is about Sanyukta Agrawal, a young Delhi girl who challenges the patriarchal world and breaks stereotypes. A brilliant and curious girl, she is fascinated with anything that's related to machines and gadgets, and harbours the dream of becoming an engineer. Although she belongs to a very conservative family where the roles of women are bound by stereotypes, Sanyukta makes her way to a premier engineering college. The show chronicles the girl's journey in the all-boys world, where less than 10 per cent of the students are girls.

'Paanch - Don't get Mad, Get Even' is the story of 18-year old Roshni, a shy girl who enters a college in Mumbai to 'right some wrongs.' She takes on the mammoth task of transforming herself into someone she isn't: unforgiving and brutal - all to avenge something that has deeply affected her in the past.

Meanwhile, in 'Confessions of an Indian Teenager', a young boy, Vaibhav, takes the viewers on a journey to meet young people and share their worries.

It's Complicated, on the other hand, is about three young couples who deal with their relationship problems.

The show timings and launch dates of the shows are not confirmed yet.
