Nominees announced for 4th Big Star Entertainment Awards

Big Star Entertainment Awards has announced the nominees for the upcoming awards show. In its 4th edition, the event is scheduled to take place on December 18, 2013. The awards show, brought by Reliance Broadcast Network (RBNL) in association with Star Plus, will honour the most deserving entertainers and achievers across film, television, music and sports. 

Indian cinema has had a thrilling year in 2013 with a wide range of multi-genre films such as Chennai Express, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Madras Café, Ramleela, Bombay Talkies, Satyagraha, Boss, Shuddh Desi Romance, Krrish 3, Dabaang 2 and Race 2 receiving countless nominations. While the film awards have categories ranging from Most Entertaining Social – Drama Film, Most Entertaining Action Film and Most Entertaining Thriller Film, Most Entertaining Comedy Film and Most Entertaining Romantic Film, the category for other awards are just as diverse and exciting.

Aashiqui 2, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Chennai Express, Krrish 3, Ram Leela and Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani compete for Most Entertaining Film of the year.

In total, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has received the maximum number of nominations, closely followed by Ramleela.

Deepika Padukone (Ramleela, Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani), Parineeti Chopra (Shuddh Desi Romance), Shraddha Kapoor (Aashiqui 2) and Sonakshi Sinha (Lootera) are competing for the award of Most Entertaining Actor in a Romantic Film – Female. Nominated for Most Entertaining Actor in a Romantic Film – Male are Aditya Roy Kapur (Aashiqui 2), Ranveer Singh (Lootera), Ranveer Singh (Ramleela), Ranbir Kapoor (Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani), and Sushant Singh Rajput (Shuddh Desi Romance).

Versatile singer Shreya Ghosal has been nominated for her sensational tracks Nagada Sang Dhol (Ram Leela) while Sona Mohapatra has been nominated for her song Ambarsariya (Fukrey) and Sunidhi Chauhan for Dilli wali Girlfriend (Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani). Nominees in Most Entertaining Singer (Male) category are Arijit Singh, Aditya Narayan Jha, Siddharth Mahadevan, Vishal Dadlani and Yo Yo Honey Singh.

Popular TV show Comedy Nights with Kapil competes with Bigg Boss 7, Dance India Dance Super Moms, Kaun Banega Crorepati 7 and Nach Baliye 6 for Most Entertaining Series TV – Non Fiction.
