Star bets big on Sunday morning slot with ‘Satyamev Jayate’

  With the launch of the music video for Satyamev Jayate, Star India is all set to launch its ambitious show with Aamir Khan which will take the 11 AM slot on Sundays starting May 6, 2012. Star India is betting big on the Sunday morning slot riding on this show, and expects it to capture viewer imagination like ‘Ramayana’ and ‘Mahabharat’ had done in the past. The channel believes that this is the time-slot where the family could come together and get involved in the show.

Aamir Khan launched the music video in Mumbai on Friday and termed it as love song for India. The video features Aamir travelling across the length and breadth of the country and meeting people from various sections of society. It is a compelling composition by Ram Sampath with lyrics by Prasoon Joshi.

Every episode of Satyamev Jayate will have a song, a first for reality television, and once the show wraps its season, a musical album of the songs will be released.

Satyamev Jayate will be simulcast in eight languages across eight channels of Star India – Star Plus, Star World, Star Jalsha, Star Pravah, Star Vijay, Star Utsav, Asianet and Suvarna.
