Star World Premiere HD to bring two new shows

26 August 2014

The channel has lined up a legal thriller, "How To Get Away With Murder" and season 4 of the anthology series, "American Horror Story: Freak Show".

Star World Premiere HD, the latest entrant in the English GEC space, has announced the launch of two new shows. The first one is a legal thriller starring Viola Davis, which will make its debut in India on September 29. The show, titled "How To Get Away With Murder" is from the creator of Grey's Anatomy, Shonda Rhimes.

In the show, Davis portrays the lead role of Annalise Keating, a brilliant and mysterious criminal defence professor who becomes entangled in a murder plot. Keating is everything you hope your criminal law professor will be - brilliant, passionate, creative and charismatic. She's also everything you don't expect - sexy, glamorous, unpredictable and dangerous. Annalise represents the most hardened, violent criminals - people who've committed everything from fraud to arson to murder - and she'll do almost anything to win their freedom.
The second show in the pipeline is the fourth season of the anthology series, "American Horror Story: Freak Show". The series stars Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Michael Chiklis and Angela Bassett. It will launch on October 2014.
'American Horror Story: Freak Show' begins its tale in the quiet, sleepy hamlet of Jupiter, Florida. The year is 1952. A troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike. This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival.
Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Dante Di Loreto, Tim Minear, Jennifer Salt, James Wong, and Brad Buecker are the executive producers of American Horror Story: Freak Show. It is produced by Twentieth Century Fox Television.
