Allahabad, Friday, June 06th, 2014: “How will I meet my soul mate? What would it be like to fall in love? How will I know that it’s true love?” These are the most dominant questions in the mind of the young and restless as ‘Love and Friendship’ engulfs their world! Keeping this in mind, Star Plus is set to present an endearing young tale of friendship and romance set in the hinterland of Allahabad. Titled Suhani Si Ek Ladki, the show explores the intertwined lives andworlds of three vivacious, fresh and diverse personalities – Suhani, Soumya and Yuvraj. Each of them is as different from the other as chalk and cheese but is connected by a bond of companionship and love. Produced by Panorama Entertainment, this light-hearted & youthful fiction show is all set to premiere on June 9th at 6.30 PM on Star Plus

Suhani Si Ek Ladki traces the journey of Suhani, Soumya & Yuvraj and their differing ideologies of love. Suhani, an innocent, simple and average looking girl, wants a man who may not be good-looking or rich but is blessed with a heart of gold and who would love her for who she is. In contrast to Suhani is her extremely beautiful best friend Saumya who lives in her own dream world and believes that true love is all about being pampered by your partner. On the other hand, Yuvraj is a handsome & rich scion of a business family whose ultimate dream in life is to marry the most beautiful girl in the world, his belief being that external beauty alone is the marker of a good heart. What happens when their three lives collide, intertwining all of them within a common thread of friendship and love? The result is a very interesting, heart-warming story with multiple twists and turns which will alter the lives of Suhani, Soumya and Yuvraj forever.

Is the Media in trouble? Mumbai Press Club holds discussion on subject

Uday Shankar, Star India CEO said, “Just because the media has become capital-intensive, doesn’t mean that it has to compromise on your integrity. Every business has to have a value system, and the editor needs to be sensitive to that. Journalists need to wake up to the economic reality, and it can’t be denied. On the other hand, those who recognise that are willing to swing to the other extreme and do anything. That also is neither healthy nor sustainable.”
