Disney+ HotstarDisney+ Hotstar, part of Disney Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED), is one of the largest premium streaming and mobile entertainment platforms with more than 150,000 hours of drama and movies in 9 languages, and coverage of every major global sporting event. Hotstar has launched its premium service DisneyPlus Hotstar in India, Indonesia, and Hotstar in UK, US, Canada, etc. It is still expanding its footprint to more international markets. Disney+ Hotstar accounts for roughly 30% of Disney+’s subscriber base so far — which roughly translates to 26 million as of Q4, 2020. and 350 million followers on the back of a highly evolved video streaming technology and high attention to quality of experience across devices and platforms. Hotstar has appropriated top spots on the Google Play Store as well as the Apple App Store, and been named among the most popular apps of 2017 on both platforms. Live sports in particular has seen a huge surge with over 25 millions concurrent viewerships and generating 10 billion click stream messages daily for a single live event on Hotstar, especially as audiences turn to mobile as the primary screen for cricket updates and streaming. This is the largest on the Akamai platform for any live sporting event in the world and the largest for any single event online by a broadcaster. Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) brings together the Company’s best-in-class product, technology, and commercialization teams together into one global organization. DMED is responsible for the P&L management and all distribution, network and engineering operations, sales, advertising, data, and certain key technology functions worldwide for the Company’s content engines. DMED also manages operations of the Company’s streaming services including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ and Disney+ Hotstar; and domestic broadcast and cable television networks. ABOUT THE TEAM _______________________________________________
Disney+ Hotstar is challenging the old media buying practices by altering the digital advertising landscape completely. We are constantly looking for highly motivated key account managers who have a sharp understanding of market dynamics and the digital world and can forge strong partnerships with clients to create value for them.
As an Account Manager, you work with in creating a larger set of advertisers to establish Disney + Hotstar’s presence while being an advisor to them on the right solution set to help them drive their objectives. This role entails driving the identified goals in the respective region via market intelligence and innovative ideas to position Disney+ Hotstar as a choice of platform for advertisers and agencies.
Within the industry, you will the primary advocate of Disney+ Hotstar – setting and executing a GTM plan that will lead us to meet our clients’ objectives and our revenue targets. You are an excellent communicator with a proven ability to meet the goals. You will use an analytical approach to sales management. You will develop and grow some of the largest businesses in India through a customized account management approach.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ____________________________________
- Responsible for driving sales & adoption of Disney+ Hotstar across Small and Medium Business (SMB) executing a strategic business plan focused on new business development. Success will be measured on value and number of advertisers on platform
- Getting new clients on board on Disney+ Hotstar, account management and expansion in the assigned region
- End to end management of hunting, pitching, solutioning and execution for large number of SMB/New age businesses
- Increase market share utilizing a consultative sales approach, competitor analysis, emerging tech solutions and opportunities
- Unearthing new sales opportunities through networking and turn them into long term partnerships
- Ability to act as an advisor on brand solutions in a strategic way and drive business
WHAT TO BRING ________________________________________________
- MBA from tier I & Tier II colleges with 5+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development, Account Management and Client relationship management
- Hands on experience with CRM software and MS Excel
- Excellent interpersonal skills
