GEC Watch: Star Plus, Zee TV & Life OK gain in Week 25

Colors holds No. 3 position despite a decline in viewership. Sony and SAB TV also lose eyeballs.

Week 25 of TAM 2014 witnessed improvement in ratings for Star Plus, Zee TV and Life OK while Colors held No. 3 position despite a decline in its viewership. Sony and SAB TV also lost a few eyeballs.

According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 25 of TAM 2014 (June 15 – June 21) for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus added maximum 35 TVM in its gross viewership. Zee TV grew by 24 TVM and strengthened its position at No. 2. Colors retained its No. 3 position despite losing some eyeballs. Life OK remained at No. 4 position followed by Sony and SAB TV at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.

Star Plus’ strengthened its leadership by adding maximum viewership in Week 25. The channel grew to 661 GTVMs with a relative share of 29.07% (last week 626 TVM with 27.53% relative share).

Zee TV too grew by 24 TVM this week and recorded 400 GTVM. The channel had a relative share of 17.59% (last week 376 TVM and 16.53% relative share).

Colors retained its No. 3 position despite losing some eyeballs this week. The channels recorded 351 GTVM with a relative share of 15.44%. (last week 366 TVM with 16.09% relative share).

Life OK recovered a bit this week from huge loss in last week. The channel fetched a gross viewership of 333 GTVM and a relative share of 14.64% (last week 319 TVM and 14.03%).

Sony witnessed a marginal decline in its gross viewership and dropped to 298 GTVM with a relative share of 13.10%. (last week 300 TVM and 13.19% relative share).

SAB TV too lost some eyeballs this week and dropped to 279 TVM with a relative share of 12.27% (last week 287 TVM and 12.62% relative share).
