Star Utsav to air shows through the week

The channel has also launched a new logo and introduced fresh content.

Star Utsav, the free-to-air Hindi GEC arm of Star India, has got a new refreshed look.
The channel is all set to entice the viewers by this new offering. It has unveiled a new channel logo graphic along with the launch of Mahadev at 7 pm.
Star Utsav's brand new refreshed logo is in line with Star India's Crystal Ruby star.
The channel is also changing from the current programming schedule of six days a week, the channel will now be available to the viewers for the entire week (seven days).
"The refreshed look of Star Utsav channel is aimed at taping and engaging the rural corners, while keeping at pace with the urban audience. Star Utsav is also known as the 'King of Middle India' because of its reach in every nook and corner of the country, and its affordability. Catering to primarily the women audience, the channel's new arrangement is in sync with a schedule designed to mirror the daily routines of its viewers," the channel said in a press note.
For the record, Star Utsav, is the third Hindi GEC from Star India stable, others being Star Plus and Life OK. The channel was launched in 2004 and is one of the top FTA channels in the country, competing with channels like Zee Anmol (Zee Entertainment Enterprises), Rishtey (Viacom18) from competing networks. The channel airs shows that have previously been aired on Star Plus, Life OK or Star One (the channel that was shut in 2011).

In light of this, we at Star Plus, wanted to spread awareness about voting rights amongst first time voters and mobilize the youth. We want to encourage them to exercise their vote and contribute to the country’s progress. However a lot of them are still not aware the registration is an important prerequisite to voting.
